About w1 holding
Since 2008, W1 Holding has been behind projects that combine function, aesthetics, and operational reliability. Our ambition is simple: to create properties that deliver value – today and for many years to come.
W1 Holding is the parent company of the W Group and has, for more than a decade, built a solid and versatile portfolio of construction projects, investments, and property development. The journey began with the establishment of what was at the time Denmark’s largest solar park and has since evolved into modern residential developments and long-term property projects.
Based in Aarhus, we take a comprehensive approach to every project. Quality is at the center – from the first lines on the drawing board to operation and ownership. Because we manage our own rental properties, we think long-term in everything we build. We know that good quality today means less challenges tomorrow, and this is reflected in both our solutions and operations. We give equal weight to material choices, indoor climate, surroundings, and functionality, because we believe that properties only create real value when they are built to last.

In 2021, we completed the first phase of our residential project on Tove Ditlevsens Gade in Risskov, Aarhus, featuring 93 modern rental apartments. The units range from 35 to 144 m² and include 1–4-room apartments, penthouses with private rooftop terraces, and three-story townhouses with private parking.

In 2023, we completed the second phase on Torsøvej, adding 92 new rental apartments. Like the first phase, we prioritized functionality and quality in both materials and craftsmanship. With a range of different layouts, we cater to individuals, couples, and families with varying housing needs.

We are currently working on the third phase, where we are once again raising our ambitions and creating 58 new rental apartments. Wood is used as a structural element in the construction and is visible within the apartments selected for its combination of aesthetic qualities and practical benefits. Among other things, wood contributes to a healthier indoor climate and reduces noise during construction. The first apartments will be ready for occupancy in the spring.

At Borresøvej, we have 57 rental apartments located in a scenic area, just 6 km from Aarhus city center. The apartments range from 2- to 4-room units and are between 80 and 108 m², each with its own balcony or terrace. They feature high-quality kitchens from Svane, appliances from Siemens, oak flooring, and underfloor heating in all rooms.

A classic seaside hotel with a unique location and historic atmosphere is now being brought back to life. The project is being developed with respect for the site’s cultural heritage while combining modern comfort. The hotel will feature an exclusive spa area with panoramic sea views, where every detail has been carefully selected. Restored and elegant rooms create a place where history and contemporary comfort go hand in hand, allowing guests to experience tranquility, luxury, and the coastal ambiance

In May 2025, we embarked on an exciting project in the heart of Copenhagen. We look forward to bringing new life to the building. Right now, we are working with our consultants to define the direction of the project.

Our journey began with what was then Denmark’s largest solar park in Tinglev. The project reflects our ambition to create long-term investments with a focus on sustainability and future value.

We have recently invested in SKYTOWER, an upcoming 18-story high-rise that will house modern office spaces. As a co-investor in the project, we are pleased to contribute to the development of a landmark building that will set new standards for commercial properties in the area.
